Yep. All consultations are via Video Telehealth and are 20 minutes in length. Please make sure you read all the FAQ’s here first before we meet so we can focus on any other questions to help you get to know me and feel comfortable (hopefully) working with me. Schedule your Video Consultation.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. I will provide a paid invoice upon request but do not guarantee reimbursement from your insurance provider. I do not diagnose or give CPT codes.
Before your first full session, you’ll add your credit card on your profile in my secure online client portal. If you have a debit flex account or Health Savings Account (*HSA) card, you are welcome to use it. Remember to ask me to email you a paid invoice for your records. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, please bring those with you to your in-person appointment. A credit card on file is required.
Within the first few sessions, I gather important information about your history, struggles and goals from therapy. For this reason, I recommend you plan for a minimum of 6 sessions. It’s important to feel your time, energy and investment is positively effecting your relationship. This also gives us the room get support on several areas of importance and make sure you both feel the value of the time spent. This is an investment on multiple levels. Couples who make a commitment to working through difficult topics feel closer and more empowered in themselves and in their relationship.
I get better at knowing you both and understanding your relationship needs once we have had a few sessions. It takes time for me to ‘learn you both’ and for you both to share your story so I can design sessions strategically for the benefit of your relationship.
Your first session is 2 hours. Follow up sessions are 90 minutes. I do not offer 60 minute couple sessions.
Weekly is preferred for 3 sessions and then biweekly after that. We can move to every 3-6 weeks once you feel like the work has helped you understand each other and you are working the skills you learn outside of the session.
I am a PACT level 2 trained therapist with Stan Tatkin of the PACT Institute. I am also a certified IMAGO couple therapist from the work of Harville Hendrix, Getting the Love You Want fame. I hold a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University, 2012.
My approach is a synthesis of psycho education paired with strategic communication tools. I am light-hearted and playful because I understand that we are working to alleviate heavy or hard topics. It’s important that we laugh as we get things done.
I am a storyteller and will share my own personal journey in relationship so you know I practice what a teach. I do this in a way that educates and provides tools to help you both shift old patterns into new strategies.
I am also a Brain Coach, Hypnotherapist and founder of The Anxiety Relief Method. I work with individuals to empower rapid resolutions to anxiety, grief, trauma, fear, rumination and shame/regret patterns.
I am a passionate Relationship Coach and work with couples outside Colorado via Video Conference. You may also choose my in-person 3-day Couple Retreat option.

Coaching is for couples who have already been working towards better communication and healthy behaviors. If you’ve A) already done some counseling, B) understand the patterns of your upbringing, C) want to focus on current issues and D) are wanting to redesign how you move into the future, then coaching is great option and opportunity.
Think of Coaching as the branches and leaves on a tree. We focus on growth and what you want to co-create.
Counseling contains aspects of Coaching but includes the trunk and roots of a tree. We work on understanding each other’s childhood family systems and what that means in how we view the world and want we want from relationship.
If you come to me for couples work, I will only see you as a couple. Some marriage counselors will offer individual sessions as well as see you as a couple. In my experience, it’s more effective for me to have one role with you both. I do much better work when I am dedicated as your relationship guide.
I can provide referrals for individual work when requested. I sometimes determine and recommend individual therapy or coaching to help support each of you as we continue to meet for couples counseling.
Yes, with these guidelines: If you approach me for individual work, we will have a discussion first so I can understand the goal and purpose of individual work. The individual work will have a different approach and new agreements of our work together will be determined.
It’s important that this arrangement be peaceful for your partner. Please inform your partner of your desire to work with me. Who ever approaches me first has priority but this doesn’t mean I am required to work with you. It depends on your intention. I may refer you to someone who is more training or expertise in the area you need support.
I do not work simultaneously with you or your partner if the individual work is solely centered around uncoupling or separation. In that case, I’ll refer your partner to another qualified and highly trained counselor or coach

I know right?! *See my Retreats page for more info. When you need to reconnect fast, get clear on a major life thing or you want to dedicate uninterrupted time on your relationship, retreats allow for a faster, deep dive into redesigning and revitalizing your relationship.
Some couples also use the Retreat space to decide if they want to remain together. We can approach the retreat as a sacred uncoupling or a discernment opportunity. Please reach out if you’re on the fence about staying together. It’s important to get support on a big moment of transition.
